Battlelore’s fifth full length album, titled “The Last Alliance” is finally finished and ready to be presented to the public! The album consists of big, epic and atmospheric songs full of feeling and raging battles, taking you to an unforgettable journey through Middle-earth! As before, there will be a jewel case CD and a digipack with something extra. This time the digipack will include a DVD featuring the energetic live show at Metal Female Voices Festival in Wieze, Belgium 2007.

The Last Alliance was recorded at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna, Finland, with the ingenious producer Janne Saksa, and mixed and mastered by the legendary Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios, Sweden. Some words from Dan: “Fuck yeah!!! Let’s make history!!!”, “mixing your stuff is like mixing 156 death metal albums at the same time”, “I believe it to be fantastic. It’s a killer record!”.

Hey all!
Henri is going on vacation, and won’t be able to play all of Battlelore’s shows this summer. But no worries, we have a great session drummer all trained and ready to kick some asses with us! Timo and Maria’s band mate from Elderthrones, also the drummer of the great death metal group Khert-Neter, Enrico Annus, will be joining Battlelore on most of the shows during the summer of 2008. Enrico’s first performance is on Saturday at the Wave Gotik Treffen show and we’re looking forward to working with yet another talented drummer on stage! Welcome aboard the beer-drinking and always celebrating Battlelore crew!

Hellos all!
Battlelore started the recordings of their fifth album earlier today at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna, Finland, with the producer Janne Saksa. The working title of the new album is “The Last Alliance”. Within the next four weeks Battlelore will record and choose up to 9-10 songs from their material to be on this fifth voyage through Middle-earth. The album will then be mixed and mastered by the legendary Dan Swanö. Songtitles set to be on the album are e.g. “The Last Alliance”, “Exile the Daystar”, “Daughter of the Sun”, “Third Immortal” and “Voice of the Fallen”.
The new material is bigger, better and more epic with a few surprises such as the use of Tomi’s clean vocals. The band itself describes the new songs as a beautiful combination of “Sword’s Song” and “Evernight”, where all the typical musical elements of Battlelore are combined in a new and also unexpected way. Needless to say, the whole band is very enthusiastic and exited to be recording these songs.
Prepare for the album of a lifetime, this one will not disappoint you!
